The Contacts view shows the list of existing contacts from the Softphone application. The contacts are synched from those found in the Hosted Voice User Portal. In Contacts view, you can view, add, or edit contacts as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Viewing a Contact<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

From the left panel, click Contacts. <\/strong>You can use the following functions in the Contacts view:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Switching Contacts View<\/strong> – By default, the screen shows all your contacts in the list. Click the Contacts drop-down arrow<\/strong> at the top of the screen to select which set of contacts to view.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Searching Contacts<\/strong> \u2013 To filter\/search contacts, click the magnifying glass <\/strong>in the upper-right corner, then type a name, number,<\/strong> or extension<\/strong> to filter or search.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Contact View (Edit\/Dial)<\/strong> \u2013Click on an individual contact<\/strong> to view details. The contact\u2019s extension\/phone number(s) and email addresses (if available) will be displayed.
    • Click the star<\/strong> icon<\/strong> to toggle the favorites status, when the star is filled white, the contact is selected as a favorite.<\/li><\/ul>\n

      • Click the extension\/phone number<\/strong> to call the number directly. Click the email address<\/strong> to launch your email application. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Click Edit Contact<\/strong> to make changes to a contact.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Adding a Contact<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        1. From the left panel, click Contacts. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        2. Click <\/strong>the plus (<\/strong>+) icon<\/strong> in the upper-right corner to open the Add Contact dialog box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        3. Complete the contact information to add a contact and then click Save<\/strong> to save the contact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Editing a Contact<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        While viewing an individual contact, you can edit the contact\u2019s information if needed. Click the ellipsis button<\/strong> to display edit options for a contact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
