The following requirements must be met to add a fax number:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A scope of Office Manager higher is required to add an eFax account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Direct Inward Dialing (DID) should be implemented at the site.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fax Service enabled on the domain (Contact support to request eFax service.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> eFax does not currently support mass import for assigning fax numbers to<a> <\/a>users.<a> <\/a>Please see \u201ceFax Considerations\u201d for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To add an eFax account:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in to the <strong>Hosted Voice Portal<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Hosted Voice Home Page displays:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"868\" height=\"95\" src=\"https:\/\/smartcitynetworks.com\/hvsupport\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/efax-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-801\" srcset=\"https:\/\/smartcitynetworks.com\/hvsupport\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/efax-2.png 868w, https:\/\/smartcitynetworks.com\/hvsupport\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/efax-2-300x33.png 300w, https:\/\/smartcitynetworks.com\/hvsupport\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/efax-2-768x84.png 768w, https:\/\/smartcitynetworks.com\/hvsupport\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/efax-2-50x5.png 50w, https:\/\/smartcitynetworks.com\/hvsupport\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/efax-2-60x7.png 60w, https:\/\/smartcitynetworks.com\/hvsupport\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/efax-2-100x11.png 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 868px) 100vw, 868px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2. Select the <strong>Fax Accounts<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4. Select a <strong>Phone Number<\/strong> from the drop-down list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">6. In the Primary User field, type the <strong>user extension<\/strong> or <strong>name<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">7. Select type of fax you want to enable and how you want to handle inbound faxes. The following table describes each option:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><thead><tr><th>Methods and Fax Handling Options<\/th><th>Description<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Email<\/td><td>Send a fax to an email to send a fax.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Portal<\/td><td>Send a fax in the User Portal.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>ATA<\/td><td>Allows a fax machine to be connected to a supported ATA.<br>\u2022 Device Type &#8211; List of available ATA<br>\u2022 Serial Number &#8211; The serial number of the selected ATA.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Email w\/Attachment<\/td><td>Send an email to the user without the fax attachment but with a link to navigate to the portal fax page.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Email w\/o Attachment<\/td><td>Sends email to the user with the fax as an attachment.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Portal<\/td><td>Allows the user to view the fax in the User portal.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">8.
